SubTech Home
Hello and Welcome to the SubTech web site!
Product Photo

It's now nearly 3 years since we re-launched our on-line shop and we would like to say a big thank you to all our customers both old and new for their continued support. As always it is nice to welcome back customers and old friends who have been dealing with SubTech since the very early days when Skip Asay ran the business prior to 2004 and also to welcome our many new customers from all over the world.

Our aim has always been to provide the best and cheapest R/C Submarine Electronics available anywhere and we continue to provide well proven products that are still considerably below the cost of our competitors. Last year we had to make some small revisions to our prices due to increases in the cost of many of our components and sadly with the ever rising cost of the sensors and parts we use in our AL5 and ADC-1 Auto-leveller and Depth Controller products, we recently had to increase the price of these two items.

The prices for the AL5 and ADC-1 took effect from 12th March 2014, but again we are extremely proud that even with these increases, all our products still remain cheaper than they were 10 years ago, something that few, if any, other companies can boast.

Other News

We have now reworked our ST10 Brushed Esc and the RS1 Reversing Switch and they are now both available in the "Electronics for all R/C Models" section. The new models now have terminal blocks for the motor and battery connections to make connection easier and also have a plain heatshrink cover to reduce the overall height and save space.
Welcome Photo2
Just a reminder that we also offer various other R/C Switches and Failsafes that are suitable for many other applications. They are all available off the shelf and have their own product code to make it easier and simpler to buy. So if you need an Esc, Reversing Switch, Failsafe or Remote switch for your model car, boat, plane or train, then look no further!

If you are into big subs, then take a look at the new hull from OTW Designs. Just released is the huge model of the French Surcouf, complete with it's massive gun turret. This 1/50 scale hull measures 87" which is well over 7 feet long and is the longest hull in the OTW collection. The kit comes complete with a beautiful set of resin and metal cast fittings. Below is photo of the hull complete with the conning tower and gun turret etc. For more information of this superb model, please contact Bob Dimmack of OTW Designs at:

By the way, if you are a beginner and you don't have much time to build your own model, or you just can't wait for one of the new Albacore or Marlin kits from Matt Thor, take a look at the U31 kit from ARK models, which is a real bargain if you are looking for a RTR/ARTF RC Sub. I spotted the RTR version in a model shop in Singapore and it really does look great.

In what has to be a first, a true RTR Sub...!!
The ARK Models TYPE 212A U31 comes complete with its own Aluminium Case as well.!! Click photo for more details
